Welcome Letter from Woody’s Private Swim Woodra Wold, Owner, Swim Instructor Cell: 510-393-0352
Welcome!
We are so glad to start lessons with you to reach your swim goals/dreams/objectives. We teach all strokes and levels from beginners to advanced adult swimmers. It is our mission to help you learn to enjoy the water and become a confident swimmer as quickly as you feel comfortable. We realize each swimmer has different goals and we will customize the 1:1 swim lesson to meet your individual needs and objectives.
Teachers Classes are taught by Woody Wold or co-teacher Susie Gehring, and Shani Laureta. We are a small, private swim school, and the teachers are passionate about teaching you how to swim. We are in the water with you and will guide you through the techniques to optimize your swimming experience. Once you have a weekly ongoing time, the class will be taught primarily by one teacher for consistency. If the teacher must miss a day, the class will be taught by the other co-teacher to ensure you do not miss your water time and can continue the momentum of your learning.
Weekly Confirmed Timeslot Payment Policy Learning to swim takes time and repetition in the water. We encourage clients to pick a timeslot- the same weekly day and time for your lessons. Once you have your weekly timeslot confirmed, you may keep that time for as long as you like. To reserve your timeslot for the next month, payment is due at the start of the month for confirmed lessons.
Cancellation Policy: Payment is due upfront at the start of the month for all lessons in that month If you miss a week, but want to return the following week to your confirmed timeslot, we can hold the spot, but you will be charged for the missed week You can relinquish the timeslot and not pay for the class you missed, but will have to wait for a new timeslot to open up which likely might not be the original time you had If you need to change the schedule, contact Woody by text (510) 393-0352 Texting is preferred as she is in the water most of the day If you need to stop classes altogether, please give Woody 72 hours notice before your next lesson to avoid the charge for the next month. What to bring to class: Swimsuit- dressed and ready to swim. Towel and cover-up, or clothes, for the trip home. Cap/Goggles Bring your belongings in a duffel bag or hang them on the hook by our pool lane. *We do have new goggles ($25) and nose plugs ($5) for purchase* We provide additional swim equipment such as kickboards, flippers, hand paddles, and other swimming accessories as needed.
