Policy for Missed Class
Missing a Class:
When Missing Multiple Classes:
I value my clients and understand your busy schedules, but please keep in mind we cannot help you learn to swim if you are not in the water. If you miss multiple classes from your schedule for vacation or any reason; Unfortunately, I may not be able to hold that specific time slot for you. But I will try to work with you if I can. Should we need to remove you from the schedule for now, when you are ready to return I will do my best to work you back into a schedule that works for you.
But please forgive any delay, as you may not be the only returning client. That means this kind of return can take anywhere to a few weeks or months, so this is not recommended for short absences.
Single Classes - Floaters:
Floaters must have a flexible schedule and be willing to make a majority of the random open time slots throughout the day work. A Floater will generally accept their class times between 1 week to 1 day in advance. If you find you are unable to make a class that you have scheduled, payment is still due.
Because our schedule is full, floater openings are created when a regular weekly client can’t make one of their classes. So, these open times can vary greatly. Due to this, it is difficult to predict the number of openings, or days & times that will be available each week. The number of active floaters is limited, to insure we can guarantee at least one class a week for each floater, so they can make progress.
Please don’t accept a place on our floater list if you are only available a couple of days a week, because we will not be able to guarantee you a weekly class.
Missing multiple weeks/classes: If a floater finds that they are unable to make the available times work over multiple weeks then the floater will be removed from the active list.
If a floater finds that their schedule is no longer flexible enough to continue, they can ask to be added to our wait list for a set day and time. Or wait and return to the floaters list, when the flexibility in their schedule returns.
